DFA no different than Deans at my plant. Management is forcing us to work 12 hours shifts all thru Christmas to meet holiday demands. Just told we are getting another 100,000 gallons of sour to pump out the door bi weekly and 20 vats of cottage cheese quota per week!!!
Our culture team has a hell of a time even getting out 15 vats a week.

Long hours around the holidays and even working on the holidays isn't unique to DFA (or DF before them). Grass isn't always greener as they say. About jumped ship earlier this year when I found a job that paid as well but the new job would have involved rotating 12 hour shifts, starting at the bottom of the seniority list, and losing a lot of vacation. So I stayed. Almost all manufacturers around here are understaffed due to cuts over the years and work those c-appy rotating 12 hour shifts and if you're towards the bottom of the seniority list you get forced to work the majority of what are supposed to be your days off and I'm too old to be working 70 or more hours a week on a regular basis. There are a few places that work straight shifts but those places pay for sh–.
Yeah DFA/DF management s—s and because they don't give a c-ap about me I don't do anything but the bare minimum. But complaining about extra work over the holidays is dumb.
Wow your plant has milk our plant laid off 17 guys shut a day of production brought back the guys but not the day all during holiday season looks like dfa is worse then deans
15 vats a week? HA! I remember when our plant here in Le Mars used to have a guy who could single handily run 10 vats a day plus 8,000 gal of sour/yougart like clock work. That whole team is long gone. And they won’t even bring any one of them back.
Our culture team now is just a bunch of crybabies and clowns.
They never left!! You and I get to bust our humps so the clowns can pad their bonuses!! It's SAD !!
