Thread regarding Whiting Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Anything would be better than this

Honestly, sometimes flipping burgers at McDonalds seems like a preferable option to this place. I'm so tired of the constant stressing, politics, nepotism over merit, corrupt managers... It never ends. I don't see how things could get much worse than they already are.

When are they going to start caring about the field employee’s is the big question. They treat us like lower class dirt. They keep taking from us, the cuts the management took is nothing with the money they make. It hurts us worse. Now when they lay us off their severance packages will keep them going, for us it’s nothing. Our respect has gone to hell I am sure you notice it. Do the bare minimum to keep things going. Maybe if we’re lucky the takeover will give us a fresh start.

What’s the opinion in the field? Is it just as bad there as it is in corporate? Are all the ‘yes men’ rising through the field ranks?

Nah you are wrong, it’s a very disgruntled field employee who busts his a– everyday. Just very sick and tired of watching robinhood stealing from all our pockets and filling their own. Hire a bunch of crooks ToruĊ„ a crooked company and lie and steal. They can’t pay the bills but can take giant bonuses and rob us . Piss on them they get minimum performance as far as I’m concerned.

Damn sounds like there are some serious disruptive issues inside the walls of the great Whiting. Maybe it was more of a blessing than I thought being payed off. Sure wouldn’t want that toxic culture around me.

Pretty good response to a serious situation wouldn’t you say. What a a– . How about saying please reach out to me if we have a problem this is my job. Shows you as an employee that you can’t get help . I guess they figure it’s all doomed so why waste their time. Makes working here even less desirable. F— this place s—s.

I see Whiting's HR department has joined the conversation. Thanks for the link, Chris! Perfect demonstration of their compassion and empathy.

But seriously, folks. Now you know that management is paying attention to these threads......
