Thread regarding Phillips 66 layoffs

Cold and uncaring

Do not expect to be treated well if you plan on staying for a long period of time. Many new or young employees get valuable training through this company, and then move elsewhere in order to advance their careers. With that being said, I'm not sure how it works throughout the energy industry, so this might just be the modern way of conducting business: cold and uncaring.

Nope, it's the P66 way. Interns are taken to ball room dancing and mountain man camp, new hires are babied so much I'm pretty sure there are changing tables for them in the solo bathrooms so managers can make sure they aren't being fussy because they are wet, and experienced hires are shat upon and expected to do all the work with no chance of advancement or training. It's the most absurd culture of kowtowing to new hires and hi-pots.

It's a dog eat dog world out there, and we are all wearing milk bone underwear.
