Thread regarding MasterCard Inc. layoffs

Why are people leaving?

Three team members left within the last two months. Does anybody know what might be the reason? I can understand one person leaving on their own but three in such a short time period? I'm wondering if they know something that prompted them to make that decision.

Perfect example of why is below. Person now at MC and even more self-selling than in this clip. She persists in trying to get mileage out of a WH job (in procurement, not IT security). Ego winning over skills or actual experience seems to be tolerable at MC.

Uh... does the word 'sweatshop' mean anything? I was at Mastercard for a year before I walked away. Before I joined, I was told there were a lot of layoffs. All the teams during my year were run with a skeleton crew. And being called 'skeleton crews' is being generous - it was bare bones slave labor. I could hear the stress level in people's voices due to the long hours and weekends they were working. Someone can only work in that environment for so long.

What is there to know? People are simply looking for and finding better opportunities.
