Pay cut and no overtime

I was wondering if the pay cut that took place in West Texas for the drivers was just for those drivers or company wide? The fact that they implemented a $6/hr pay cut on top of utilizing the no overtime exemption is down right wrong. So disappointed

Marathon has found a loophole that allows them to not pay overtime regardless of the amount of hours worked and they happily exploit it to the fullest potential.
To get a factual and honest answer out of them on how such shenanigans are achieved is damn near impossible.

Union is likely to be the next push if they don't do right by us next year and as a fleet over 100 drivers we have some serious power should we organize.
I've been here nearly 9 years and 2021 will be my worst year as far as the buying potential of my earnings.
Everything has increased but our wages.

I believe all marathon branded fleets received a 7% bonus.

To Truckin Steve how do you get paid hourly and not get paid overtime?

I doubt it was company wide as there are so many different pay scales/structures within marathon from acquisitions of other companies and fleets. I would imagine they are trying to get pay leveled company wide.
Here in Ohio, South of Findlay HQ we have ALWAYS been straight hourly rate with no overtime. Top rate here is $29.47 and have not received a raise in over 2 years. We're not eligible for incentives or targets so everything has stagnated. It's gotten to the point where we are losing quality drivers from our own fleet to go to the 3rd party contracted companies who haul our products because they can earn a better wage.

The fleets that were making very high wages aren't getting pay cuts....... they're just getting shutdown outright. 3 fleets in North Dakota just got permanently shuttered because they were getting paid OT plus incentives, drivers there could make 150K+. Marathon pulled the plug on all of them because they could sub out the work cheaper.

Someone has to pay for the fancy amenities in Findlay. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at is the MPC-funded Hancock hotel.
