No, that's why they hate the UAW. They can't stand people doing what they consider poor people jobs and being able to enjoy their life without having to scape by.
With enough time, Amazon employees may earn enough to rival GM employees. It's happening all over. Don't think this it's possible?

Good luck trying to switch departments if you are over a certain age. You need to leave before the next layoff once your EGM gets wind of you wanting to leave their warm embrace.

If you want your job outsourced or to get paid the same as the scab next to you go right ahead. Why not just do a good job or if your manager is a d—k switch departments?

Time for union negotiators to rethink how they negotiate. Quit making deals that incentivizes employers to hire everyone on as a part time workers.
Certainly, the 'professional' ranks should unionize.
Although the skill-sets - Accountancy, Human Resource, Lawyering, etc. -
are more prone to being easily 'scabbed'.
It'd be a hard slog to get it done.
