Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

There wont be a Halliburton 200 year anniversary

If you are young just starting in Halliburton work for a few years and move on. Halliburton is doomed in the future:

In a Major Move Away From Fossil Fuels, General Motors Aims to Stop Selling Gasoline Cars and SUVs by 2035
The corporation’s zero emission goal is based on technological advances that have lowered the cost of electric vehicles and policies requiring emissions cuts, analysts say.

Halliburton's executive team has positioned itself for growth by fully embracing diversity, leveraging offshoring technologies, increasing its global manufacturing footprint and lowering burden costs. Halliburton will continue to decrease revenues, increase COPQ, pay record dividends and show customers the future of the oilfield.

Goodbye and good luck to those who can survive the next 5 years in this industry and close to retirement because it will be a hairy ride from here as electrification will continue to ramp up as oil production continues to rampdown as the automotive industry moves away from carbon based fuel

Hal should compete in Xprize carbon removal competition announced by Elon Musk. It will bring lot of products for Halliburton in the cc product line even if you don’t win rather than waiting to acquire a company. As a company you will have external timelines to follow and definitely you are way more resourceful than outside competition.

Diversity will save Halliburton. Also new procedures and policies are the only hope.

Just look at the number of employees 10 years ago compare it to the number today. The company is shrinking and it will continue to shrink.

Definitely, you won’t be alive to see that.

"Halliburton will survive. They have Sperry and ICruise."

That was sarcasm, son. If you don't understand that, you miss the point entirely that Halliburton has been run into the ground, and has NO future, and that NONE of Dave's/Jeff's 'dreams', and magical cure alls WILL save the company.

I predict there won’t be a 105 anniversary. Will be purchased by SLB or GE.

HAL doesn’t have a clue. Going down the drain in a hurry. SLB has beat them again in the green space. Leadership can sell mud. Good luck.
