Thread regarding McDermott International Inc. layoffs

Lack of enthusiasm

How can I be committed to working in a company where there are no benefits, which has no vision, where only layoffs can be expected and where there is no future without cash injections. There is hardly any motivation. Not sure how you do it, but I literally have to force myself to work.
At the end of working hours I am so tired, not so much from work, but from the lack of any enthusiasm.

McDermott treat their staff with utter contempt and then expect them to worship the company while DD and his mafia take all the money for themselves.

What a stupid response. The oxygen thief's are those that a): have no understanding how bad it is for mid and lower level employees, and/or b): the people in charge.

You make stupid statements about finding something else, but at the moment there isn't a lot out there, as you would know if you were in any way involved in this industry, or smart.

McDermott, under the current regime has no future.

I am tired of hearing sh– like this, if you don't like it f— off ! you are a free person no one is keeping you here!!

Employees like you only see negatives, with your self-professed lack of personal drive and commitment the company will be better off without you ! if they pay you more than a $1 its too much.

You state no future without cash injection, i think once we reduce oxygen thief's like yourself the future will look more promising.

Psychologically toxic work environment (which is the case here since summer of 2019) will tire you worse than any work or physical activity. Just change it. Staying will not benefit you much.

Sad days when you'd almost rather have McDonald's on your resume than McDermott.

Yes. I literally feel the same way. you know what else demotivates me? I feel like good people leave on their own. Why would smart people stick around. Seems the folks not connected or related to anyone get let go and the smart ones leave. so we are left with a bunch of relatives who just s— the company dry. It wont be toooooo much longer before we close up the shop. FWIW I am one who is related. :)
