Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Thinking about coming to NCR

All,
Potentially receiving a job offer from NCR within a week or two. Is it worth considering? The role pays more than my current role. But reading some feedback on the org on this site has me second guessing.

Open and honest feedback appreciated.

Hell no. Crooked a– exec's who are more worried about s—ing the company dry than making a difference.

I wouldn’t, but if your out of work it’s a paycheck. Just remember there always a target on your back.
So I wouldn’t stop looking elsewhere if you decided to take the job. Remember they ncr owe you nothing. But you owe it to yourself . Nothing like working at a place worrying about being laid off. You can’t focus with that target on your back. It may be one or two years down the road but it there. And they laid off plenty of sale people the past few years. So ask yourself why. It’s not like a new position your just replacing one of them. You’ll see other threads here where they laid off a bunch of sale people like 30 or 40 if I remember right last year while they were traveling on business.

Do not work at NCR. I did for 7 years; laid off last Oct for no reason. They don't care about anymore. Terrible, dishonest company.

I am not sure which department of Sales you going, but let me honest who is buying ATM, SCO's now a days.. Look at their hardware or other sales, you will get an idea...Every quarterly calls here no one is talking about innovation , ideas, goals etc. but more around job security, layoff etc...How a company will survive when employees are more concentrating around their job security.

Thanks all - the role is specifically a sales role not anything related to deployment or IT. Do your opinions remain the same?

Saw this on Reddit. In agreement. NCR keeps hiring GA Tech grads for cheap, and outsourcing jobs. I'd look elsewhere unless you want to get laid off once they realize they can pay someone less. Someone needs to do a news special on just how unethical this company is.

I’m in agreement. I was with NCR for 13 years and given a RIF letter for no reason last year. Previously, I was promoted with no history of performance issues.

NCR does not care about its people. Go work somewhere else.

Read the past threads. Don’t do it unless you want to get a RIF letter after a year when they decide to outsource your role to Serbia. NCR is a sh– company that cares only about their bottom line.

My experience - Join ONLY if you don't have any offer. Hire and Fire are quite common here. They name it RIF. I suggest talk to some Former or existing NCR Employee and you will get to know about it.
