They laid off a lot of young grads (200-300) in 2019, Engineers. Most of them only started with the company for a few months, some for a month. I doubt they would want to return as these positions are opening back up, as the company has build themselves a pretty bad rep among new college grads.

If you were laid off and your call back rights have expired, per bargaining contract. Then you may rehire again, but you won't get any of your years of service back. Your basically a new hire again, starting over. Thats what happened to me.. Salary or any other, I would assume you could come back, also. Don't see why not, you were laid off, not fired. Then again, companies do whatever they want.
