Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Do you secretly wish to be laid off?

Has anyone heard any rumors that there might be layoffs? What is the probability that there will be soon?
Some say silent layoffs are happening, but that has not been confirmed.
There are many reasons why I would most like to be one of the lucky ones to get laid off. I am sorry for all those who feel differently, but I sincerely wish it for myself.

I hope none of you hoping to be laid off expect one of those old dst severance packages. S s&c doesn’t play that game

Anyone who still works at DST (after 3 years of the SS&C experience) and thinks that morale can't sink any further is sorely mistaken...

At least one of the KC buildings has been on the market for a looong time already. But point taken. I don't think I've ever worked on anything here that the customer Really needed, it's always been a lot of "wouldn't it be nice if the app did..." Sure why not? There's already a ton of functionality no one uses!

KC and DST are history. Stone can continue to talk but there is nothing coming forward...sell the buildings, pay off the execs, and leave others to pick up the pieces....leave now.

Who wouldn't? It's a terrible company to work for. The way they treat staff is abysmal. It's such a shame that such an iconic Kansas city company could turn into such a depressing place to work after the acquisition.

A happy place to be. Meetings make you feel like you are watching the walking dead. The beatings will continue until the morale improves. Get the &$^#& out while you can.

Uhh duh I’d want to be laid off and make unemployment. People argue against it saying that unemployment will make you feel like a POS after awhile but I don’t think there could be anything more low morale than working for this company anymore.
