Cenovus intends to switch FCCL feedstock for SGS at the HLU. But the upgrader was never designed for such a corrosive feedstock. So unless Cenovus plans to invest tons of money in better metallurgy, the number of corrosion related leaks will only increase in frequency. Higher temperatures in H-Oil multiply the risk of an explosion. We need to protect ourselves. We need representation.

I would think a lot of Husky assets get sold. They will keep refineries and oil sands but that’s about it. The rest like retail and any conventional assets will be marketed and sold if possible to reduce debt. That’s what happened with the conoco purchase, paying debt off will be job number one. The will probably keep the Asian properties as those have a good return.
Remember Cenovus above all else is an oil sands company and the refineries compliment that. Everything else is always for sale at the right price.
Husky assets are worth pennies on the dollar. Cenovus overpaid for the junk they got.
Cenovus bought the Husky assets for pennies on the dollar.
Yes the company is just going to take a bunch of risk to blow stuff up, I believe that is the Husky way not the Cenovus way
Yeah our VP Morgan has some WILD ideas for HLR & HLU. Remind me again when he joined Husky? 2018.
