If you're a software engineer, your days here are numbered. Go and look at openings for software engineers at careers.mcafee.com. Notice something? Almost 90 percent of available positions are in India. And guess who they're replacing? This has been going on for a while and it'll continue to happen until all of us are gone. I don't plan to stick around to see it happen.

"Massive moves of technical support from the US to India" - that's not the position the OP is referring to. That practice has been going on for going on 20 years now. They have hundreds (in fact, closer to a thousand than 500) staffed support positions in India, and have for many years now.
The OP is referring to SDEs (software development engineers). And last I checked every open SDE position listed on McAfee's public jobs site is in India. There are other non-SDE positions both in and out of India ("research" scientists, content development etc), but as of a few days ago India had a monopoly on every open SDE position with the company. That, after laying off hundreds of them everyone else.
It's not surprising; they literally pay them 25-cents on the dollar compared to talent in NA. It doesn't take much grey matter to see where this is going, and I must concur with the OP: Get out while you can.
They're replacing everyone.
