On another social network, I saw that Gilead is RIFing about 30% of its accounting and IT staff in California due to cost cutting measures. Unfortunately, there is no more data.
Is that information correct?
I used to work there and not so long ago I went to another company. If this is true for RIFing, then it is really terrible news.
I would be grateful for more detailed information.

Things are not looking good for Gilead, too many people getting layout within IT/Finance/HR. I can see about 30-40% of the IT workforce getting layoff or relocated or a combination of both by September. Brace for cover, the new CIO is adjust a plan disaster and this company will be hurt in the long run.
Sound about right. The new Gilead's CIO came from HPE, and he has already done damage there. The only way to improve the bottom line is by chopping heads and beefing up his three-year plan performance bonus. https://www.newsobserver.com/news/business/article249120025.html
