I'm new here, been with Qlik for less than a year. I absolutely love my job! Losing it would be devastating for me right now, so I'm hoping the company is doing as well as I think and no layoffs are going to be happening any time soon. How confident should I be this is true?

To put it simply they are not what they advertise themselves to be. Stay away of them..
What's wrong with the Europeans / Swedes?
BTW, if you really want to know what is happening at Qlik I suggest find the critical reviews from former Qlik employees on glassdoor from the last 3-5 years and read them carefully.
What's wrong with the Europeans / Swedes?
Five years ago I had the same feelings about Qlik. Left the company voluntarily on my own volition disgusted with the politics, double standards and scheming which I witnessed while working for an international team ran by Swedish manager inside the company. I do not think Qlik culture has changed for 5 years. Bear in mind that these initial impressions are highly misleading. This is the company with the most incompetent and biased management which I have seen in my whole engineering career. If you are based in the US I strongly recommend you to stick with your US colleagues and if there aren't many of those look at the Canadians and avoid Europeans / Swedes managers if you want to stay longer in the company. Basically the company is like an eagle, crab and a fish each of which pulling the things in different direction. Good luck!
