Someone wrote here that working conditions are much better at McDonald's or Burger King than here. For me, Burlington is my first work experience and I can’t make any comparisons, but I’m interested in the advice of those with more experience. I would really like to change my workplace, but I’m afraid of making a change for the worse than it is here.

Agree with the above comment. Years of work to make only minimum wage & no true recognition. Company breaks laws with no consequences. Company and horrible managers believe they are doing you favor by overworking you for low pay.
I worked at a Burlington store full time for 6 years. My advice, find another job.
Corporate doesn't care about you. The bottom line is how much money the store is making.
Yearly raises amount to maybe 8 cents an hour, if you're lucky. The work load keeps growing, but you will not be compensated.
Try Target, Aldi, Trader Joe's, Costco, Starbucks, even Wal-Mart. The starting pay is better at those stores.
Read job reviews about working at Burlington. They are accurate. For every good day working there, you will experience 10 that make you want to jump off a bridge.
Get out before you start feeling loyal to them. Be loyal to yourself and find a company that values you.
