Thread regarding Ricoh layoffs

Those who stayed have it even worse

Without any exaggeration, I do the amount of work for three people. I doubt that other people's situation is any better. After more people left, I expected them to be replaced. However, this has not happened, nor is there any indication that it could happen. A huge number of people are simply missing here.

I understand that the ship is sinking, but it is not normal that the vision of rescuing it is to put the remaining people in a situation where they are overwhelmed with so much work that they can barely finish it in time. I wonder what would be the optimal number of workers for this company to continue to operate? There are definitely too few of us now.

I’m sure ricoh will compensate fairly and proportionally for everyone’s additional heavy lifting.

I like watching the millennials try to find a misfeed or change a toner cartridge. Smart ones figure out this place is Dunder Miflin and say, “nope!” Then trade in their Dundy award for a better job A$AP Rocky.

To many managers, directors, area VPs, Senior VPs managing less and less worker bees. The people who manage probably have no idea of what is really happening out in the field, all they can do is complain to the level above them and hope something gets done.

You feel like you are doing more work because the people that Ricoh kept were young inexperienced people who have a hard time loading paper correctly. Yet they kept all the wonderful executives whose policies caused Ricoh to decline

"Read & Understood" - Lift with your legs. Don't strain yourself. Take care of your mental health. Not your job to keep this barge afloat. If Japan really cared about continuity they'd get you some help. They don't b/c its all being broken up to be sold off. Basically just a job flipping burgers with way more politics.
