Thread regarding Saudi Aramco layoffs

So much for “progressive”!!!

So the cats out of the bag.

Dividend remains untouched yet those at the coal face are punished with a p1$$ poor SAIP factor then?

Can see where the company’s values are then, and it’s not with respecting and rewarding the hard working employees!!!

Oh for goodness sake, let’s call a spade a spade. SAIP is the biggest give away any company ever invented. The Saudis and AOAs had to substitute benefits for SAIP but the Global and Dollar - nothing. Free money and that’s the truth. We all know it. So even if SAIP is cut, it’s still more than u got before. Aramco has to be the best company ever and it is. And it shall be. In my long experience the majority (though not all in fairness to some good men and women) deserved to go of those laid off. To those that remain work hard and don’t disrespect people. All the best.

Aramco will be new Mornig Star again, shining high in the midnight sky for everybody to see it, by far the biggest company in the world. Invincible and rich. This crisis will be over soon, very soon.

Boo hoo hoo 😿. Who cares? Where else could you get a job so good? Nobody else would hire you in your home country. Go home if you don’t like it. It’s not your country over here. Go back to home to see if you can get a good toe-hold into the burger industry.

Considering the beatdown all IOCs took last year - are you really on here crying about not receiving the full SAIP amount of years' past?

Ungrateful POS.

Those expats willing to wear billboards, depicting themselves as loyal hand sanitizer dispensers are going to get a full SAIP. Those expats not willing to show such reverence to the company will be given one-way tickets to celebrate Passover in their home countries. Passover is March 27th to April 4th and is a celebration of the liberation of slaves from the company.

Ok, I'm lost. Where this information about the company factor comes from? Until 2:40 pm today the pay slip for this month was not available. Is this news about the company factor a rumor or something solid? Until last week the rumor flying around was the the coefficient was the same as the previous year.

You can tuck up sidewise your English grammar you know where. English grammar or accent is not operating the companies, that is the only strong argument you are clinging to, other than that no special added value from native speakers. Nobody is buying that trick with English grammar, Oxford accent, or southern drawl anymore.

Cutting the dividend from $75 to $74 billion would have been enough for everyone to receive the same SAIP as last year. But cutting the dividend would have caused Aramco to lose face. Better to cut your employees bonus than to lose face.
Maybe we can dress up some Bangladeshi as a sanitizer bottle to make everything ok.

The reason why the factor is low is not because of oil price, it’s because a vast majority can not write good English grammar (just read the comments above).

The dividend receivers ARE the owners of a company after all. It's pretty useful to think of shareholders as the owner of a single shop with one manager where you are the lowest on the totem pole in these things. You are disposable, and so is your boss. It's the owner's prerogative to hire, f—up, or dispose of who they wish, and if they can't find someone to do what they want the way they want at a price they want to pay, they'll find someone who can.
