Managers told that they have a target to rate 10% of team as underachieving at next review. So that was a great HR briefing yesterday in the UK. What happens if none of the team are under achieving, I guess a short straw challenge. Loved the response to questions that this is to make us work harder

It’s the way to shed 10% without paying any redundancy payments. Simple as that.
If there are no staff performing below their KPIs it creates that group to fund integration costs that were hidden during the purchase by LSE. Good luck and heads down guys!
It's not to make you work harder. you should be working harder all the time anyway. It's a tough old big bad world out there - be the best you can be, and its also about the 90%.
