New contracts coming in... hiring is up again and GA is back and growing again like crazy! Dead weight is gone and the company is showing mass improvement since loosing the dead weight! GA is a great place to work and grow ones career

wow, now they are hiring non certificated aircraft technicians. I guess its a sleazy way to layoff people so they can lower the standards hire at 22 an hour to cut cost. Northrop is currently experiencing this issue hiring anyone off the streets only to realize that the McDonald's worker, really doesn't have what it takes mentally or mechanically to understand the importance of aviation maintenance/production.

AND To the one who said, "no one else wants to hire them [US]". pst, I got a job offer one week after being laid off, I'm a very happy working for UPS as a fully certified and respected A&P Mechanic!

so the hiring that is going to happen in the next few months is because they are falling behind at the high desert locations and in Poway. it is not going to be a big hiring event (sorry laid off workers who want back in), also it has nothing to do with new contracts but milestones that must be meet with current contracts. We are currently being forced to work overtime to catch up with the assembly and testing phase of production. There was also an issue with people who left after the layoff, a few manager didn't anticipate these people leaving which is kinda ironic but oh well.

Anyone who believes that last years layoff was to eliminate the dead weight, are dead wrong. I saw some pretty good techs let go, currently the mass amount of dead weight employees out weight the actually good ones otherwise we wouldn't need to hire more people and force those on flex to return to a 9/80 work schedule.

i think it's funny, no IRONIC, that after a huge layoff, GA be tryin to hire again, but ppl quitting instead

So many bitter ex-employees... looks like GA needs to fire more often.... Sad that these people still can’t find jobs and are wondering why GA let them go.... bc no one else wants to hire them either

um, actually you will see the OPPOSITE, which is what is happening!!

  1. Work From ANYWHERE - not just WFH. People left Cali because of the cost of living for Texas, Arizona, etc.
  2. Job Switchers - they waited until the worst of the pandemic passed, but if they are leaving Friday (like some are), then you KNOW they had already finalized the job offer 3x weeks ago and were on the job HUNT 1-2x months ago.

HR - higher bonuses, fire (or retire) the stupid people, and just be a better company.

What a joke haha! The company that is. Lots of people have quit for good reasons this is part of reason why there’s so many new job openings.
