So many disgruntled and ungrateful employees. Just leave the company if you are no longer happy. Try finding a job that suits you and be useful. So many people lost their livelihood yet here you are complaining for still being employed by GA. How many companies out there still provide a robust pension plan and a generous 401k matching? And GA still gives bonuses. Smh.

GA is a bunch of old lazy people.... you are not going to get rid of that and if you have a problem with it... you are normal but don’t belong at GA! Don’t get angry about the situation- there are companies for everyone and this company just happens to be for old lazy people with outdated skills.... so grow old and be happy when the company won’t let young people push you out. Or leave and gain a skill set that will be needed in the real world
The old guy that works in my department sits and does nothing all shift, he’s already past retirement age and chose to take the day off when the layoffs happened last year only to return to work after the fact, pretending he knew nothing of it! I think employees former and current are just disgusted at how a company can protect/retain someone who just takes up space over a new tech that might very well stay with the company for the foreseeable future.
there is one really old person there...well there are a lot...but i SWEAR, they must have necrosis or somethin'. I saw their hands, and it looked like someone in the ICU!!

Well said - It took several interviews but I was happy to find employment somewhere else (Got paid more to do less). It has been a great run but it's just a matter of time before most of the talents are no longer with GA. Best to all..
when a company has to use propaganda to make its employees feel grateful, you know its time to leave. Companies that are doing well don't need job postings or name calling to attract top talent. The talent comes to them.
Been at the company for quite some time, through rough and good. The lay-off was a wake-up call. Was not expecting that. Plus losing a ton of awesome people after that, and seems to be accelerating....the projects are just meant to maintain, not really grow the company like we used to....

Wow! Did GA begged you to join them? You applied for whatever position and you accepted the job offer. You are plain dumb and stupid if you are comqplaining now. Just leave if you don't know how to count your blessings. Ot maybe you are just afraid to leave coz deep within you know you don't have what it takes to get a better job. Really you are ungrateful.
GA is the only defense company I have ever worked for where employees actually had mouth veterans and military personnel. It’s the craziest thing I have ever seen. But I guess that goes along with working at GA - working with crazy and lazy people
Disgruntled and ungrateful? BULLSH*T. The company should be GRATEFUL to US, its employees! NOT the other way around. When the COMPANY is UNGRATEFUL, you have GOOD PEOPLE LEAVE.
Amount of people who have left VOLUNTARILY in the past year: I count at least 20, if not more.
Actually the GA "pension plan" is rather outdated. Companies don't give pension plans anymore because A) no sane career-minded employee works at company for 20 years. NOT even at the Top Fortune 500. This isn't 1960 anymore. B) STOCK OPTIONS* make WAY more sense. Everyone does it - SpaceX, Microsoft, Facebook, oh wait, is GA included in that? Nope! *It gives employees a strong incentive to work smarter to raise the stock price.
Not to be ageist, but when I used to work at GA (moved my fam back to Boston), I swear it was like working with a bunch of retirees! How do I setup my mic? I don't know how to setup my e-mail, so I need an "Executive Assistant." jeezus man, my teenage kids could have done my job!
Like I said, evidence that GA needs to change or WILL BE SOLD OUT. A) good employees leaving or left. you'll see more of this as the pandemic subsides. B) when was the last COMPETITIVE contract that GA won? None.
I would be caution about being proud of your pension etc, those things can easily be eliminated. second GA's bonuses and 401k are not the best and i know of a few companies that offer better. Disgruntled and Ungrateful, I'm definitely not either of those i left the company long before the layoff and for the reason being brought up on this forum. i wonder if your that one guy that sat all shift doing absolute nothing but was always at the backside of every important person in management, or that one employee dropped an UAV on its rear and did not get written up or fired because he was best buds with a manager. Its blatantly obvious something is wrong when people are leaving in large numbers with basically the same complaints.
People are leaving the company. The sad part is all the good employees are leaving.
Twist on words. It’s correct GA does not hire the most skilled people. And if GA is lucky enough to hire a skilled worker they leave within two years bc they want to maintain their up to date skill set. They people that stay at GA usually stay bc they understand they can’t get a job any where else or want to take a break from working at a real company. If you were let go and have no skill set - it hurt. But for the people that stayed you will be let go also... so be nice bc your time will come
Maybe you are underpaid because you lack the skillsets that will provide you a commensurate pay. Your tone clearly shows you are truly disgruntled and ungrateful. Just leave GA and take with you your bitterness somewhere else. Or maybe you've been fired already 'coz of your undesirable behaviour and negative attitude.
Who are you comparing GA’s benefits too? Definitely not the industry as a whole. GA underpays and that is just a fact. The main benefit to this underpayment was GA NEVER laysoff and that does not exist anymore!
