April 2021 Lowe’s outsourcing installation services to large National company. Goodbye to great independent contractors that have great ratings and services. Now all you get is delivery.

This is correct. For appliances in ther Middletown NY market, they have taken all of us instalers out of rotation and brought in one giant installer. ICS? ISC? One of those. Its going to be terrible for customers just like XPO, CPO, etc have all been.
But Lowes dont care because guess what? Customers have no where else to go.
“How big of a footprint does this new company have? Unless they already have existing installers in most markets, I would guess that the new company will simply sub most of the work out to the existing independents that Lowe’s has already been using.“
This is correct. My area has been using this for about 2 months. The company just handles sourcing of contractors for jobs, Doesn’t automatically eliminate the independent contractors the stores have been using. in fact all of our installers have remained the same except for Blinds as that installer retired during the pandemic. Not to say this might not cause issues in other markets, I could see some areas having completely different installers and some stores ending up with cr---y installers as a result
Lowes is probably invested in this 3rd party. That's what they used to do with their vendors That way they got a little of the money back they were paying out.
The National Company for installation of what? Appliances? Decks? Fencing?
Don't even deal with the screaming anymore just give them cpo 1-800 number let them stay on hold and try to get in touch with an installer
We should just get out of the installation end of things. All you are doing is adding more steps, more issues and more headaches. The added money is not substantial enough to warrant this.
