Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

When did it become acceptable?

I keep hearing coworkers wanting to be laid off so they can collect unemployment. I don’t understand how that can be a better option than having a J-O-B. In my day unemployment was used as a last resort, but it seems to be the “rage” now. I still can’t wrap my head around it. Times have definitely changed.

Some people need a kick out the door to make the transition. Make looking for a job your fulltime job instead of getting paid garbage to break your back for a company that couldn't care less about you.

Work environments have changed, the company doesn’t value you why would you value them
