Thread regarding Cummins Inc. layoffs

Cummins sets a dumpster fire to its culture, product quality is a myth.

Cummins has turned into a massive pump and dump scheme. Last year they cut everyone’s pay, produce huge cash flows at the employees expense. Transform the company’s culture into a dumpster fire, everyone is turning against one another. The quality of the product has gone to being outdated technology leaving many derelict machines to awaiting customers. Quality control is out the door and the failure rate has gone through the roof on just about every product. Sales lies and misleading tactics lead to anyone telling the truth to get dismissed because they are not a team player. The new people in leadership are clueless have no real experience, just repeat what’s on the company’s website or what is off a template. Buyer beware… never expected to get your product on time.

The biggest circle jerk is when they outsource US products to INTL countries...I think you know which ones I am speaking about here. The cost analysis to justify this is never correct and they leave out, for example, some component shipping costs, tariff costs, other hidden inspection costs and keep charging them back to US locations where the originate when they should be adding this into the cost of the product. They cover up allot of the rework that has to be done as well...some sent back to US to fix because knowledge base is so poor in those countries. I experienced this happening many times in my 22 years. It was a joke. Allot of people lose their jobs in the US so Cummins can shift production and brag on their INTL operations while all the lies are being told behind the scenes. Their politics are rotten to the end and have bitten them in the a-s. Final results, are high failure rates, lost sales and layoffs.

It’s all politics: either you’re in the click, or you’re not. If you’re in the click, you’ll last much longer than if you’re not. Even click status is temporary with the constant change over in leadership. Individual performance is never the measure: it’s always whose a-s your face is in. Over 10 years, I saw several who should score a 3 but were instead scored a 1. If you’re in the click, you’ll always score higher than those who deserve.

You know why they are turning on each other, it's because of the rating system pure and simple. I'm surprised that their hasn't been a class action suit in the company for them being biased in their approach and/or sexists/racists. The reason why we still use old technology is because the lower managers have been using that technology for decades and they have a nest they are protecting and if they have to use another/newer type of technology heaven forbid they will have to do their job and learn and teach it.

Also many of the management who have been promoted don't truly know how to do their job and so they play the game of blaming someone else.
