Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

No News is Good News

I've noticed that there hasn't been any significant news in a some time. No manager restructure, no specialist eliminations, no ridiculous policies to be implemented. Is it possible the Marv and friends are trying to stay on the down-low, are they done with their moves or is it all a setup for the last hammer to drop before he escapes the Titanic via his golden parachute?

Look! Lowes is trying its best to go "centralized" in EVERY area of operations. Its the goal, the end game. Many markets have simply "let go" installers. Installers who have been loyal, and bailing stores out of huge problems. Well, Lowe's simply hired ONE installer for each category and took installers out of rotation without even a heads up. THATS the thanks you get from Lowes!! They did this with installed sales (went to cpo), deliveries (xpo), and many other areas which have all been WORSE by far.

I went into the neighboring Home Depot and all cashiers were gone! Its all touch screen.

Lowes will keep cutting and cutting. We are all spread thin and working the jobs of multiple employees. In my stotre today, only the lumber super was in until 9 am!!! Thats when ONE pro specialist arrived. At 10 am, a lumber PT employee showed up. This is a 50 mill store too!!!! How does this person load or service customers with no spotter for power equipment? And we all know they pack the schedule with fake people to make it look staffed.

Lowes is a shell. A sham. They lie and deceive, then demand respect and loyalty.

Its not good, and only gonna worsen and worsen.

Sales are good but comps get tougher once we get deeper into Summer. That along with product shortages make comping difficult. One good thing for us is HD is in the same boat.

One can only hope he uses his golden parachute, maybe he will resume his track record and go ruin some other corporation soon.

For the time being everything is still status quo cause money is still rolling in, not as much as last year but it’s still coming. With the pandemic waning and things reopening and with Biden announcing he will raise corporate tax rates you can bet your bottom dollar that the Marvelous One will have cuts and restructuring in the works.

The planned layoffs of higher paid hourly associates had to be postponed since no one is willing to work for less than what they are getting for UE. Once that is out of the way the boot will drop.

They are probably far too busy thinking of creative ways to fluff those upcoming Q1 2021 numbers. LMAO, movie theaters and some restaurants are just reopening in my area and foot traffic in the store is already starting to noticeably wane as customers begin to resume some semblance of their pre-pandemic lives. Can hardly wait for Q2 results.
