High Number of Voluntary Resignations

Is anyone noticing the high number of high potential employees who are voluntarily leaving Lumen? Also, the quality of people they are filling the vacant roles seems much less talented. Were the layoffs of 2020 a nail in the coffin? They kept low performers and all but forced people to various new roles. Something is up.

very SAD I worked with some very smart techs. who should have been put in a senior position until THEY decided to retire but they were forced out because they made money because they had a good salary, Techs that had broad expertise and not just in Telecom but infrastructure, HVAC, Power Systems, Generators, Mechanics, Civil engineering, Construction, Heavy equipment ...
I think LEVEL LINK kept one, it would be stupid not to make a good Minion of him.

I was one of those rats that left that sinking ship. I know I wasn’t the “best” tech out there according to their metrics, but according to the customers I was, and they mattered to me more than metrics and Jeff Story. I advised anyone who was hired around me to leave. We don’t have a pension and what we do get is garbage. Nobody listened, they can work all the overtime in the world and I’ll spend the summer with my family and learning a new profession that pays the same if not more.

Why would anybody want to work for this company? No raises, no promotions, no advancements? They honestly don’t have a clue how to keep people or talent. I would rather take a risk and be appreciated going to a new company ! Yes, they have lost a ton of talented people! Why? Management isn’t fair, they treat other less performers with more dignity than the true performers through garbage metrics that are made up to fail! Basically, it’s a failed company in my books! Favoritism and the good ole club! Why stay? Exit Right!
