Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

They are making it very difficult to stay

Morale is at an all time low and it just seems the message from the top is carry on and don’t question benefits. (Raises, work schedule flexibility, bonus timing). I agree that I’ve never considered leaving Denbury but they are making it very difficult to stay. It’s not that hard to right the morale ship and make it a place we all want to keep working at. Take note from us; continue with more flexible schedules, be transparent about compensation plans and bonus timing. Quit making us guess and fill in the blanks. It’s adding unnecessary stress.

An excellent point by @zdh+1aIiX2XB.

Today's inflation numbers should justify a higher cost of living adjustment in the near future or next year at the latest so at least there's another few % to look forward to, ha! A drop in the bucket when it comes to the removal of ESPP match, LTI, and any DNR shares we were gullible enough to hang onto

Rest assured that people will make the decisions that are in their best interest, even in the face of your judgment. It's easy to point fingers at executive compensation, but all else being equal it's a d-mb reason to leave a company.

People seem easily distracted by one additional work from home day temporarily. You quickly forget about the fat, overinflated executive compensation, the many bonuses they have themselves over the last year, and the pathetic raises everyone else received.

After the last email Sr. Mgmt is taking the steps to right the ship. Hopefully the temporary becomes permanent. Hope the good decisions keep on occurring.
