Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Has HR ever helped you?

Someone here put it nicely, there are a lot of workplace issues, but in order for them to be solved, a real HR leader is needed, one who is really interested and dedicated to solving these problems.

Of course, HR exists there only to protect the interests of the company, but isn't it in the company's interest for employees to be as satisfied as possible?

One time I had a problem that I intended to report to HR, but I gave up because I know from other people’s experiences that I would achieve nothing.

There are more processes in place at Denbury than any other company I have worked at. I have called HR only a couple of times and they were nice and helpful so maybe you should just tell them your issue.

I think you have the wrong department with people booking up.

HR spends more time focused on trying to hook themselves up with the new engineer or sharing gossip like teenage school girls. They have no real process in place to assist employees. The majority of legacy employees at this company wouldn’t cut it with a mature company.

Most adults have come to the realization that human resource departments exist as a tool of management rather than an advocate for employees.
