Oxy is going to do what ever limits its liability the most while doing their best to maximize the output of employees, in management’s judgement. Duh, that’s prudent business practice.

Plenty of criticism to be leveled at oxy management but the covid response is not one of them imho. They have done a pretty good job of that at least.

Fact-check.org’s largest funding donations last quarter came from Facebook, Google, the Annenberg Foundation (left wing) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (created by Johnson & Johnson).

You are correct on one item. You do have the right to get the vaccine or not. You may or may not be eligible to work for a company based on your vaccination status. That is within the company’s right to deny you continued employment based on your vaccination status. Most companies won’t even go there with requiring the vaccination because of potential lawsuits and bad publicity. Hospitals have a valid reason because their business depends on maintaining a healthy environment for patients and workers.

Refute all of this - https://nojabforme.info/
Even if half of it is half true it should give you pause for thought.

Mgmt has said that they cannot require you to take the vaccine. What they are saying is "if you can't perform your job duties because you don't have it, then the company may no longer require your services"

"when in the office, we want to focus on brainstorming with others, frequent conversation with others, discussion of best practices... that spark innovation"... Have a whiteboarding session... Create a MS team to collaborate, call a person each Monday you would not call before...collaborate in a power point, look for chance encounters (whatever that means!) Face to face innovation building trust.
There you go guys! What y'all think?

I am pretty sure they could require employees to have the vaccine. The current admin would back that 100%, and there are already schools and other places that are going to require the vaccine. Most masks being used are useless in preventing the virus especially the homemade type mask. If homemade mask were okay then hospitals would make their own. Just sewing a t-shirt or bandana together does not make a effective mask. If you have the vaccine you should not be required to wear a mask period. The CDC and admin says that is the case, so we need to follow those guidelines, and not make up our own.

Oxy cannot force people to get the vaccine? Of course not you id--t. But they can tell people if they don’t have it they cannot work for the company. It is people’s choice if they want to work for Oxy.

This is alot of baloney about vaccinated vs unvaccinated. OXY cannot mandate the so called experimental vaccine and there are many issues, including Nuremberg Code violations, 10 of them to be exact. And there is alot of lawyering up behind the scenes. According to OHSHA now, if these shots are mandated for employment the employer carries the burden of complications including death and there have been many, Far more than any vax related deaths past 20 years. Nurses in my family are reporting lots of people coming in with complications, some very serious. To the point where a couple of their Doctors now refuse to see anyone with vax complications for certain reasons. It is your choice to take these shots or not. Likewise just mask up and have a covid survival pack for just in case. If you are not having complications from your shot please just be thankful and grateful.

What about people who don’t get the vaccination don’t get paid until they get it. Pay would be retroactive. If they are not vaccinated by July 1st they will be terminated. Who do these selfish people think they are mucking up the whole covid recovery for the rest of us. They need to be punished and what better punishment then losing your job and not getting it back.

I think all vaccinated people should get to work from home until September. This stupid cr-p of wearing a mask after you have been vaccinated is just BS. If you have not been vaccinated then so be it, but those of us that have should not have to wear the mask and pretend the sky is falling. I don't care who gets the shot because that is their right, but don't be like a politician with stupid policies about mask. Mask that were made out of a sheet are worthless and just a symbol. If we need to wear mask provide us all with N95 mask. I know I am just going to shut my door when I walk in and leave it shut to keep my mask off. Zero people died in Texas yesterday, so i will take my chances.
