Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Back to back derailment Champs.

In less than 48 hours UP had 2 major derailments involving hazmat. 1 into a lake near Albert Lea , MN and a 2nd in Sibley IA that forced local authorities to evacuate everyone within 5 miles. Both derailments were caused by bridge collapses. Good thing UP got rid of most of the Maintenance personnel and stopped spending money to repair the grain lines.

No, I don’t think anyone cares about derailments unless it directly affects them. I haven’t seen any social justice marches targeting derailments, railroads, or anything remotely associated with Union Pacific. Most people are so consumed with their lives they aren’t concerned about what a corporation is doing.companies have been downsizing for the past 40 years and some have laid off many more employees than the railroads, there was no national outcry or marches for them and I don’t expect any for us.

Just so you know there are around 1300 epa superfund sites. So you probably have one by you anyway.

Maybe smart Union can assist with the cleanup they will do whatever they are told. The company made you shovel ballast and remove ties. Yeah they can make you do that LOL. After the elimination of conductor we will have utility men out sifting through ballast for fools gold and the rumor of a buyout.

well if 50 cars of bs are dumped in your neighborhood by a fortune 200 company cutting corners, you'd probably care. maybe you missed the past two years of social justice marches, but I think people care more now than ever about correcting wrongs. seems like bad news for UP. oops.

No, I think that he’s right, most people don’t care. Everyone is so self centered these days that events like this aren’t even discussed unless it directly affects them.

i think plenty of people care except for the UP simps. UP went from "building America" to "we've screwed it up so bad what's another 50 cars on the ground?"

LOL.

Ah no one cares. It's just more cr-p on the ground in a country that doesnt care enough about itself to stop destroying itself. Just add it to the Superfund list.
