Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Meeting with the ASM and DS.

I was recently called into the office by the ASM and DS to discuss why I was not taking lunch and getting overtime every week. Well of course the real answer is that we are severely understaffed and I am taking care of the customer. They told me I should “manage my time better”. Not bragging but I am the top selling specialist in the store and I get plenty of LCC and extended warranties. I think they just wanted to complain about something.
Ant way, about half way through the meeting, in a cramped ASM office with the door closed, I let go of a silent but deadly fa-t! It was the nastiest fa-t I have ever let loose ( Mexican lunch) ! I just sat there with a straight face like nothing ever happened! You should have seen the looks on their faces, it was
priceless! After all there were three people in the office and being that there was an odd number, no one could prove who did the deed! I’ve been with Lowe’s for 10 years and that moment was the highlight of my tenure with Lowe’s!
Needless to say, the meeting was adjourned very quickly!
Take that you sanctimonious douche bags!

The root cause of the OT isn't being addressed either, that is a lack of staffing.

By law you must take a lunch break. The company can get in a lot of trouble if you don't. Once in a while is one thing but making it a common practice no.

Basically any company must provide hourly associates with breaks, lunch or dinner. this is your time to clock out and 'unplug'. If you racked up OT week after week they had no choice but to speak with you. The liability for you not taking a lunch is greater than your OT expense and of course that is also on the radar.

If I was the store manager I would tell you to take your lunches and no more overtime. The first time you ignored either I would walk you out. I would then inform the ASM that he/she had better get a grip on expenses.
You are not important to Lowes but my bottom line is.
