Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Will the vaccine against COVID be required to enter the IBM offices?

Hi fellow IBMers,

I would like to know if the vaccine against COVID will be required for every employee once the return to the office begins.

I am from Europe and almost every employee here works currently from home.

I am wondering if IBM will implement the obligatory vaccination of its employees as a prerequisite to enter its premises.

If so, which vaccines will be recognized (we in Europe have wider range of vaccines as in the USA, including Russian Sputnik V and Chinese Sinopharm).

So far, I heard from the local branch representative, that there will currently be no obligatory vaccination as the prerequisite to work for IBM.

Any ideas/news on this issue?

Impossible to implement , each of the 50 states in USA have different issues and infection rates. Even within just one of the 50 it varies, plus now with multiple Variants popping up that are resistant to vaccines.

Gonna be the whole rest of year and Trumpsters gonna never wear masks and refuse to take vaccines. They'll be super-spreaders for years

Not an issue for a lot of people - by the time the doors are opened, many employees will likely be ex-employees!

Return to the office will only happen when there’s no mask mandate.
At current, democrats are still pushing the covid numbers are growing so we’re probably looking at more shutdowns.
Office is over pal, get used to wfh
