The only defense anyone has about these union contracts are that some people were called back after being laid off last year. Aside from that, all of you are still employed by Altice, dealing with the same deplorable working conditions, crumbling infrastructure and slowly approaching the same dead end like everyone else. Make sure you let us know how negotiations go when your contracts reach their end date. I'm sure the kind–hearted souls at Altice will bargain in the best of faith...

Ask the guys in Oakland who got their jobs back after the company violated the contract if the union does anything.

I say this if asstice doesn't give a fck about its customers and system. Then why should it's employees....
More than 3/4 of the field ops that have been replaced with contractors have no meters.
How u gonna do a trouble call with no meter, smh

Asstice boasts about don't need great tech just good ones. The contractors that do over 10 jobs a day or possibly more. Are being done as plug and pay. Keep it moving trust me whatever Asstice does is for asstice pockets nothing else matter

Filtered for noise that effects about 500 customers
Contractors say f it and remove the filter and leave.
Plus asstice equipment garbage
Fiber issue failing splice,, cook it....
Keep it moving

Job security boys

The best security you can get is not working for Altice. The union just adds a few extra legal loopholes for the company to jump through but the end result will ultimately be the same. These aren’t rumors about the contractors, it’s just how it is. There are more contractors working between NJ and NY on a given day than there is in-house. They’re becoming better equipped, in some cases receiving FS vans, vacant in-house positions are filled by contractors. It seems pretty obvious to me Altice wants everyone gone and I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t bank on the Union.

They take your money but they help you get more money than you would have . Plus they saved jobs during layoffs . Union gets stronger by more people coming together.

3lyr+1adPwjZC isn't wrong. The union doesn't care either, they're just targeting the employees vulnerability to line their pockets. They can't save the sinking ship that is Altice, the best they can do is prolong the inevitable. The best shot at a better future is to take step towards leaving this hellhole. A contract is just a false sense of security, don't let it trick you into thinking there is any type of future with this company, because there is no future.

  1. 3 percent. Few guys got 5% but who knows what they did to get that. Their performance stats don’t really justify it. Is there another nonunion shop besides the Bronx?

You guys worry about union dues when the whole in-house technician, ops, etc is crumbling around you.Pretty soon you will be the last one standing and say to yourself what happened.Unionizing should have been done when the USA /A t s split happened but what do you really have to lose at this point.

They don’t get a 1,5% raise in dues every year . You lose the 1.5% once . It’s tax deductible as well. You’ll make that 1.5 % back in no time w better raises. You’ll lose more getting 2% from the company every year.
