Seriously. Our union stewards and President haven't said anything. They're worthless cowards
You both said the same thing. A union has the responsibility to make sure the employee is disciplined and or terminated for only a “just cause”. If determined unjustified via grievance process then discipline is dropped. Nothing can save you if the company has good just reason for discipline.
Definitely a delusion of most Union employees. Most states allow any employee to be terminated with just cause, Union or not. Keep pretending you are safe until no one is left.
Definition Unions help protect employees from unjust dismissal through collective bargaining agreements (CBA). Because of this, most union employees cannot be fired without "just cause." This is unlike many nonunion workers who are considered "at-will" employees and can be fired at any time for almost any reason.
