Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Why give an employee a bonus before layoff?

I heard from a friend in Kansas City that they had a RIF on Wednesday. I believe that may just be on the pharmacy side of the business. I know that the company recently gave out bonuses which seems dumb if the company is losing most. This is evident by the loss of a couple of their larger customers. Why the hell would they give out bonuses one week and turn around and lay people off the next week?

(post @2zfq+1afGocrN) Is it true that some people are laid off after getting a bonus? That's really strange. Why are they doing this? It makes absolutely no sense to me, and I’ve heard it’s a common practice in other companies as well.

I wouldnt call Stone an id––t. An alcoholic, unpredictable, non–caring tyrant who harasses women....well that is another story.

Easy, bonuses were for 2020, not 2021. So you’d have a lawsuit on your hands.
