The high promotion rate was to make up for the lack of promotions in 2020. There were so many talented people that didn’t get theirs because of the pandemic last year and now are. Congratulations to those who were promoted!
As for the merit. Yes inflation is coming. That doesn’t mean the firm should give out more in advance of something that may or may not happen. Last year inflation was 1.25% in the US. Merit was 2%+ in the US. So yeah, right we’re it should be.
Are you watching the news? Travel increasing. Sabre may go back into the black by QTR end. That opens up a whole lot of doors. Sometimes people forget Sabre is bleeding cash every minute of everyday. We are not Google flush with cash. Go there if you can. Stop complaining while you are here.
The merit increase 2-4% does not even cover the cost of living increase. Inflation is coming.
and who is everyone? Another post from a troll
Good luck fixing the culture and bleeding of talent with club “POC” club promotions
And, so that is bad, how? Shouldn't, if you really care about the company and people here, want to see promotions and people stay?
My g-d you trolls & whingers will inevitably find the dark lining in every cloud. VCP (early) payout? "Conspiracy!", Holiday break? "It's a trap!", Merit paid out? "Should have been more!", Promotions going through? "Desperate!" You would be funnier if you weren't so pathetic.
And, did you just really just say "promotions were probably all in the "club" POC club " - basically telling the hundreds of people who received promotions this round that none of them deserved one and they got it from being a) a POC, or b) being a 'club' member? Way to make your case by insulting a bunch of people. Clearly, you're in the POS Club Bubba. Go away, be miserable... the rest of us have work to do.
It's a desperate mechanism to stop the bleeding of talent.
Also, the promotions were probably all in the "club" POC club
