It's saddening to see people calling each other liers and worse for calling the company a good place to work versus a bad place to work. GA experience is not the same for everybody. I know it doesn't fit anybody's narrative, but everybody has a unique experience here that depends on a lot of things. I'm personally among the lucky ones because I have a great manager and wonderful coworkers who balance out the negatives (such as fear of layoffs.) But I know that for others who have cr–––y managers, for examples, this feels like the worst workplace imaginable, and with good reason. Just try to not see things so black and white and everybody will be able to get along better.

HR are Trump's supporter (That explains alot).
i was the "lucky one" not selected for last years layoff, but in the days/months after the layoff. a few favored workers and certain managers where talking as if only the bad workers were let go. This was a heap of BS, because a few of the ones that were spared are some of the crummiest employees, I have ever worked with. My supervisor made a comment about that being BS and he was sent to work in Poway. Just goes to show how they protect their kinda and punish those who say the truth. I ended up accepting a position at Northrop and just waiting for my start date so i can leave this joke of a department. i cannot criticize the company as a whole because I've only been in the A&P department for 3 years, but it seems like everyone is saying the same thing so it must be true, sadly.
It’s just a matter of perspective. If you are a motivated person looking to work with leading edge technology GA isn’t the place for you. Every company can’t be apple. But if you are an older worker... don’t really want to change don’t mind just getting by – GA is perfect for you!
You won’t find a lot of people leaving google, apple or any FAANG company to work at GA. But like I said every company can’t be leading edge. But if you are an older person with an outdated skill set and need to buy a little more time before retirement GA is the perfect spot! Also being leading edge can get you into trouble at GA bc people don’t like change here... so don’t make waves and just be happy that you have a job – that actually the GA motto!
As you have mentioned the dynamic at GA can range from department to department. You can not discredit or shame an individual for speaking out because it doesn’t fall within your agenda. Each individual is free to vent, as needed; that’s what this website is for. From my assessment, the biggest issue is not Managers but rather the Entire HR Department failing to address commonly experienced issues. One has to wonder how similar issues can be rampant in different sectors of the company. It’s systemic to say the least. I will remind everyone on here, HR is not here to protect the employee, but rather protect the company. As is such, it’s not surprising to take note of how many discrimination complaints, se-ual harassment cases, Bullying, fraud, Racial profiling have been shoved under the rug. So again, my intention is not to discourage individuals from applying at GA, GA does have some awesome products. My intent is to call attention to the department who has failed to address the bigger problems that have diluted company objectives. HR
