Thread regarding Unilever layoffs

They always find ways to get rid of you?

What are your biggest objections to Unilever? I was not laid off, but everything was done so that I could no longer endure the stress and leave the job on my own. They were very creative in finding a way to get rid of me. In my place must have come a person who probably had almost no experience for that role.

Same happened to me in Singapore. The Indian bosses held on to their own jobs, and the people of their own ethnicity. And they got rid of other foreigner with Southeast Asia passport, and replaced them with local hires to comply with legal requirements, and make it appear "diverse" and that they're open to other races not of their own.

That’s quite common. They replaced my role a someone very junior, so that the bosses can retain their roles. Very Creative and selfish of them that way.
