Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is it possible that they do not want growth?

It very often seems to me that those at the top don’t want this company to grow at all. It's as if they are totally indifferent on that issue. The growth of company is their last priority. I don’t really understand why this is so because I’m sure DXC would have the potential to grow. If the company was run by people who really wanted that, I might even consider staying here. Since that's not the case, I can't wait to leave.

An email from DXC was recently sent to some agencies for them to tell contractors they may have to be furloughed over the summer.
These contractors have signed up to short term contracts that have no notice period.
The furlough is not Covid related so contractors are not entitled to any pay and contractually tied to DXC for the duration of the contract.
Seems very unethical, does not build trust and the advice to any contractor is to think carefully before signing up to DXC.

Too much damage, too much decline in capability, under endowed exec. Only thing left to do is milk the locked in legacy cash cows.

Too much damage to customers, decline in capability and under–endowed exec to turnaround the wreck so just milk the cash cow legacy contracts of the past.

I left as I believed DXC are unable to make a profit in its current state. The real goal is beyond me, though two things are true: 1, a level of debt is required to enable low cash value acquisitions 2. They told Atos the figure was too small, not "were not interested, go away cos were doing XYZ".

Not really bothered now.

The only explanation that makes sense is that DXC is being seeded with Accenture personnel to complete it's demise from within - a form of corporate Trojan horse if you will.

Actually I'm fairly sure growth is what they want but they've got an awful lot of damage to repair first.

The former ceo had gutted dxc, in no way was actual growth his plan it was just slash and burn and trouser the cash from the wreckage.

It's taking a long old time to fix that level of damage.

I think the plan they are explaining is small growth in fy22 and onwards and upwards from there.

Whether that's possible is another matter...
