How come it's nearly the end of the month and noone has reported any closures. The original poster made it sound like some closings were imminent. Typical le mars misreporting.

Either we’re staying til the end or we’re starting over at some point somewhere else they just need us til they figure out how to bring in outside haulers for there national accounts

Plants are just getting overworked and maintaining the equipment is no longer a priority. Just put duct tape and bandages on everything and soon we will all be out the door. It's sad that's the way they run things now

Dean Foods way would have been to tell every Plant Manager to lay off a certain percent and the Plant Managers would "lay off" the people they had talked into delaying their retirements. Retirees would then be given a decent severance package and be counted as a reduction.

There laying 2 workers in cooler at our plant on Friday the plan they came up with back fired now 2 guys that don’t know better will get laid off

Did get some news on this recently.

They're cutting anyone with no competitive skill set (i.e. someone who pushes a button and then watches a machine run)

Not to worry, though. Nobody in our plants will be affected
