"Salary Increases again FOR EVERYONE. Highest ever bonus payout. Promotions for some of my employees. Share Options give. Corporate awards for some.

Everybody is content.

Its great working here."

I think we should just call you "Cheerleader".

The PC business as a whole was good in the last year; HP and Dell did well too. Both HP and Dell (and Intel) have come out and said the chip shortage will affect them this year, so let's see what happens at Lenovo.

BTW, when I was in the sales department at Lenovo, we NEVER got salary increases nor bonuses. Also, many contractors don't see either of those too. Many positions (not just in the sales department) are posted and when the candidate is hired, they are hired as a contractor with no guarantee of getting converted to a regular employee (and thus not getting the employee benefits).

I haven't seen any posts here saying Lenovo makes bad products; what I see are posts about poor management, bully behavior, unfairness toward favorite employees, and regular layoffs. How much more successful would the company be if those practices were eliminated?

A friend's son turned down an opportunity after graduating college the other week. His comment to me was that things just didn't add up or make sense. He said things were just off on the enthusiasm and openness about information and what it was like there. He had 3 interviews all with pretty much the same people. He said it was completely opposite at the other 2 companies he interviewed. The offer helped him negotiate better with the other companies. He was even more happy when I knew the manager he interviewed with and warned him about it. Nothing like walking into a death trap with no future. The other company is already flying him out to the HQs to meet with the President and VP of the company for a week. Not something you would ever do at Lenovo, and yes, they are bigger than Lenovo where he works.

Its funny how a successful company operates and a slave company dictates.
