Thread regarding Refinitiv layoffs

Startup company

Anyone here who left to join a startup? If so I’d love some feedback on how that is working out for you. I’ve been offered a position with competitive pay and benefits with a small startup but I’m unsure if I should take it or not. I don’t want to take the offer if it means having it fail within a few years. Then again it seems to be an exciting opportunity. If anyone can share their experience I would appreciate it.

The risk level between staying where you are and moving on is approx. the same, except if you move you'll discover new things, and even move to a company that has real values and a business vision!

There is no security in large companies, so what's to lose. You will get greater exposure and find that there is less politics. There is always a possibility that the company could get sold to a large corporate in the future.

I have a friend that recently joined a start-up from TR, and has no regrets at all.
