Why is this company not at all trying to keep people who have great potential and who are very talented? Because they are blinded by mistakenly thinking that these people will be easily replaced and that there are also talented people who are ready to replace them. They are totally disconnected from reality.

One of your managers just told me she lives ina different state every day.what the he-l do you hire and promote ?
Why? Simply because you are a replaceable "resource", a cog in a giant machine.
For every person Salesforce loses, they can probably afford to hire 3+ people in another country where labor costs are much, much lower - that's why they don't care. It's not about keeping and growing talent, but profits.
Stuff that matters is the cost of running the business and the profit margin. That’s why they focus on India and cheap (compared to US or Europe) labor. It’s not the place where you can grow as an engineer. It’s too slow, too big, too fragmented, with too much hype and the “Ohana” BS.
