It’s not just the current employees that aren’t interested in working there. Our kids, who attend top tier colleges, say that word has gotten out how employees are treated and the complete lack of loyalty, respect and competence shown by leadership. Their classmates ask them if it’s that bad because they know they are from Savannah. There answer is unfortunately yes. Given what the generation that is currently graduating value, it will make it tough to recruit. The brightest of the bright have lots of choices of where to work and many companies are more enticing and have much better reputations for employee treatment. Who would have thought that disrespecting employees and randomly laying people off such that those who stay see that it had little to do with performance wouldn’t work out well for GAC “leadership”?
