Seriously, though, does everyone see the misguided aspects of our culture driving the dysfunction that our entire higher education system plays to? Dahn has this right: many students pursuing higher ed in this country are peering into a Venus Fly Trap, but it’s not a DVU thing or a for-profit thing. It’s way bigger. It’s higher ed, the way it’s funded, sold, and leverages the naïveté of the young. Still considering that PhD, anyone?
