Customers: CVS can no longer compete for your business, shop elsewhere.
Employees: CVS is no longer competitive on wages and working conditions. Pharmacists are kindof screwed, but for the rest there are better wages and working conditions pretty much anywhere. You would have a better go of it at McDonald's for petes sakes.
There are more efficient, more competitive options out there.
Companies that can't adapt and compete are cast off. Just as importantly, the resources (land, employees) are freed up for more productive purposes. This has been the case with retailers in the past (Radio Shack, Blockbuster) and now it is clearly CVS's turn to give up the ghost. Just stop patronizing it. Just stop working at it. Just ignore it and it will go away and be replaced with something more efficient.
