Thread regarding Bass Pro Shops layoffs

I needed a job

I really didn’t want to work here but after a divorce that left me having to start over I was desperate and took the first job that was offered to me. I had friends who worked there (and resigned). I had no illusions of what the company was like and how I would be worked like a dog. I was fine with that. I just needed 6 months to get back on my feet. I did my best for a year but after the stress and toxic culture I was finally able to move on. It’s been a month since I’ve been gone but I’m better for it. Unless anyone needs a job badly I wouldn’t recommend working here. If you’ve settle in at Bass then you are definitely a glutton for punishment.

There are a lot of us looking for something else to get the HE-L out of the Macon store, but some of us just can't leave until we have something else, but I am to the point I think I could go cook burgers to get out and I have been here for 14 years, but this place has gone way down hill and this has happened in the past year. Before them we loved to work here more then now.

I got smart and left 4 years ago. I'm better off now big time. Way better pay and Way better health insurance. I saw the writing on the wall right before the sale of Cabela's. For once, I did something right.
