Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

I don't understand people

It's like you are looking for a reason to be unhappy. Comcast is still one of the best companies in our industry with good pay and decent to good benefits. Yes, it's not perfect and layoffs happen, but that happens everywhere. Go look at some other boards here just to see what other people have to deal with on daily basis. Just be happy to have a good job when those are hard to come by.

Comcast is garbage. Worked there for 5 years, and leaving was the best thing I’ve ever done. I just wish I had accepted an offer sooner. By all accounts of my former co-workers, it’s only gotten worse in the 2 years since I’ve left.

Why are you on a layoff bird if you love Comcast so dearly and are so happy and appreciative of the wonderful treatment? Seems like a pretty fake to me. Hilarious. If you have been here for years you realize that ANYONE can go at ANYTIME, if you are well liked, you will be brought back or picked up by one of the sister cable companies, don’t have any allusions that there is full stability though, have a backup plan, always.

Yes a good company to work for , if they kept you around to work. Put in 20 plus years then get dismissed or layed off and see how upbeat you are. Better kiss a** if you want any chance of staying within that company.

That’s most people at Comcast, they complain about everything. It’s a terrible place to be a leader. Anyone can say anything about you, fact or fiction and managers are left hung out to dry. Better places to work for sure. ENPS is ruining people’s careers. Layoffs are simply a popularity contest, I’ve seen it first hand. Comcast’s days are limited, no one needs cable long term and they have no plan.
