Thread regarding Norfolk Southern Corp. layoffs

Greed will destroy this company

I know, it's everywhere, but it seems to me that NS leadership is first when it comes greed in this industry. Could it have gone with fewer cuts?
All these cuts, there would not be so many of them if there was no great greed behind every decision that the leadership makes. In the end, karma will catch up with them.

Well the single man trains deal is about as cloudy as everything else. It’s currently off the table of negotiations and until they can get it back, that isn’t a factor.

Yes with a hostile takeover everyone gets laid off and the big shot executives.

Norfolk Southerns hands are tied. If they continue to be over the .60 operating ratio, then the shareholders will demand that another railroad does a hostile takeover and well, then everyone still gets laid off. This could all end tomorrow but no one wants to walk out. If all railway employees walk out Monday and shut them all down, we would get whatever we want, but no Union head is willing to go to jail, so the saga continues. What we saw at Juniata today is only the beginning. Soon more will come until they have that place down to nothing. The rest of the railway will follow as soon as they figure out the single man trains. Mechanical will all be outsourced.
