It was not surprising that PRU sold its Retirement business. It's been a long time coming. I would expect to see consolidation and cost savings in the near future. VSP was the optimal time to exit the company. Kudos to those who took advantage of it.

this job market is red hot...they will be fine and get a nice payoff to boot
@nyc+1bXztEUU VSP was the same. But now you have a lot more people looking for a job in an industry that has consolidated.
VSP takers left just months before Covid hit and other job opportunities dried up.
Wasn't the Voluntary Separation Package the same as the standard separation package? So why not hang on for an additional 1-2 years service (more severance) and be part of a mass layoff?
